As an FYI for the non-ACN people, we are responsible for paying our AMEX each month. ACN doesn't pay it, we get a reimbursement with our paychecks. It's essentially just another card to us, so we can use it however we want. Nobody sees the bill but us.
Yes you can.
I've done it and paid it off immediately. Not an issue.
You can, but need to pay off on time. I used mine to pay for my families hotel rooms for my wedding... paid off 3 weeks later. No issues, assuming paid in full on time.
Not Accenture but I'm 100% certain the answer is no
I'd recommend you read the actual policy, just in case. Everywhere I've worked the answer was no unless your personal expense is tied in w/ a business expense (e.g., movie rental charged to your hotel room bill).
Yeah, you can use it for anything you want, but the balance has to be paid in full each month. Just know that if you are late on a payment, ACN and your CC will get notified, and it affect your performance achievement process. Just like submitting MyT&E late or missing required training.
^ will affect
Don't listen to the people that don't work for our firm on here. You can use the card for whatever you want as long as you pay it off. Granted, I probably wouldn't use it to get into a strip club, as they can see the charges. It does not affect performance as I just got promoted and use my card for personal use all the time. I know plenty of people that do this
You can definitely use it for personal expenses. Since you pay it in full, Accenture could care less.
It's a no unless there's reason; for example, my firm insurance cards had not come in yet (I was covered, called HR and benefits folks but not appearing in the system properly for some reason) and I needed a really expensive medical test done -- my director brought up the corp Amex and told me if the insurance cards didn't come in I could use it and repay it immediately after insurance reimbursed. That was really kind and in the end the insurance/HR folks fixed the issue so it wasn't necessary.
*firm approved reason
I'm sure you have a policy against personal use, and I think it's in the card member agreement too.
I've done it accidentally a few times, especially with Uber, I just pay the amex. Haven't been drawn and quartered yet.
Wait submitting T&E late will what now.......pretty sure I've submitted T&E at 5pm before...even though it's due at 12pm
Submitting at 5pm is late, and you probably got 2-3 emails about it CC'ed to your CC. In the old laddering system, 3 of those would get you automatically bumped down a ranking (Sig Above to Above, etc). In the new system, it's not automatic, but we will discuss it on your Performance Achievement call, and it doesn't bode well for your rating when we do. Same thing for being late on required training.
Why would you use amex for personal expenses anyway!! Use personal chase sapphire or SPG and at least get point.
Yes you may. But there will be limits for non-travel related expenses (like retail purchases) where it will be denied, but no limits for hotels, airfare, Uber...
@A3, my last employer reimbursed us, also but that didn't change the fact the policy said no personal use. Of course there's an opportunity to use it for whatever but audits are performed behind the scenes on what is charged. Even if they don't see the bill, they'll see the merchant. Using that card inappropriately is a quick way to lose you livelihood. Not worth it.
Btw, I'm not saying the policy is enforced, just that it's probably there.
