There is no such thing. You just fight fires every single day until you have to try a case. Every single day involves at least one crisis
Average day, Morning meeting with all attorneys, meet and review cases with 3 currently treating paralegals for half hour each, free time till lunch, a phone call or two in the afternoon and a review with one of negotiating paralegals, then free time
I agree and totally understand. It can be overwhelming, but once you get more familiar with the cases, you will learn how to scan over the email and realize, for example, that someone is just disagreeing with a date, remote/in person deposition or documents requested. I had to organize my Outlook to set up my emails containing certain words or phrases to automatically go to a file in Outlook so that they won’t interrupt me while working. I go back and look at those emails throughout the day. It’s gonna take some trial and error when setting this up.
I’m also new to PI and hate how many emails I get…sometimes it feels like all I do is check my Outlook. Here’s how my day usually goes;
8:45 - get to the office & settle in…talk to my partners or paralegals and see if there’s anything urgent going on for the day
9:00 - check Filevine for any new tasks/notifications/etc. and respond to anything important
10:00 - check my emails
10:15 - review my files or attend any depos/EUOs/recorded statements
12:00 - forget to eat lunch
1:30 - start getting spacey and realize I’m hungry…get lunch
2:30 - try to review files or work on drafting assignments
3:00 - check emails or plan social media marketing plan
3:15 - go back to reviewing or drafting until I leave around 5/7 PM depending on how productive I feel I’ve been or if there’s any networking things to do.

That sounds like a pretty reasonable schedule!
I don’t get a lot of emails in my PI world (got way more as a defense atty) but when I do it helps me prioritize which cases are “on fire” right now. It’s all about finding the priorities

I get about 80 a day
You really need to prioritize. I have a tule that I only look at emails 3 times a day and limit that time to 1 hour. I respond to everything that’s quick and anything that would choirs more attention goes in my to do pile.
You have to answer emails in buckets . You can definitely spend all day corresponding with people if you aren’t strategic with it
