I miss Fly-Day. I would be working on my fifth or sixth cocktail by now and texting my driver the flight arrival information.

Fridays used to be AWESOME.

A) The client was busy doing their normal job, so minimal interaction with us.
B) internal project meetings so we could bitch about the client
C) quiet time to focus on deliverables
D) cocktails with my wife about 4pm

These days, it is conference calls from 8am until 5pm.

Texting the driver is a thing?

PS1 - it helps that A) I live fairly close to the airport and B) I live in a lower cost, Rust Belt city.

If I was in Manhattan and using LGA as my airport, I probably wouldn’t get away with a driver.

What’s the best points system for people traveling in Canada? So far I only use Bonvoy and Aeroplan.

Hi, I'm an employee at a hotel chain who works remotely. I've been working remotely for over a year now and I love it! The company I work for is very supportive of remote workers, which is great.

But there's one thing that's been bothering me: it's hard to get feedback on my work when I'm not in the office. It would be great if there was some kind of system that let me know how my performance was being evaluated while I'm working on projects from home.

All these weddings are blowing my mind and budget. I've had 5 weddings so far this year with several more to go by EoY. On top of that I've been asked to be in a lot of them which adds additional time commitment and cost. The cost of a bachelor party + shitty men's warehouse suit rental + travel and airbnb for the weekend + couple hundred bucks for wedding gift means I'm blowing tons of money for these weddings but I feel bad to say no.

Do you pay your credit cards in full every month?

I ask because I’ve let my credit spending get a bit lax since moving and adopting a puppy recently, so I haven’t been paying them off in full every month like I used to (though still well above the minimum payment, and keeping utilization at 30% or under). It got me thinking about how many people adhere to this advice.

It’s now been about a month since I cold applied to all big 4 firms for upcoming winter internships. I’ve tried reaching out to some of the recruiters in the area I applied for but no response. Is this white flag territory or is there still hope? And if it’s the ladder is there anything I can do to speed up the process or is it just a waiting game.
