I feel like it would help if they put why the flight was delayed on the board
What good does getting mad do you? No matter the reason the fact still remains that you have no control.
And you getting mad punishes them? It makes things better?
Maybe de-stress your life on this. We aren’t saving lives. We’ll all get where we are going eventually. I’ll just get there happy.
I’m with you SC1. I don’t find much purpose in getting angry about things I can’t control.
Serious question. What’s the point in being mad if it achieves no other point than to make yourself more miserable? Trust me when I say that I am no softy. I spent 2.5 years of my life deployed to a combat zone. Anger can motivate incredible feats. If it isn’t properly managed it only causes pain an misery to you and those around you.
You should never cut it so close to a wedding or big life event if a flight delay would make you miss it.....
D2, unfortunately sometimes I’ve had to just because of work. I missed my own birthday due to a flight issue. Not saying that being angry helps anything, but it’s a natural human emotion to be frustrated. It’s staying angry, wallowing in it, or directing your anger at people undeserving that I think is a waste of time
I get mad when skies are clear and still the flight is delayed due to some random unknown reason
Yeah weather is used as a blanket statement when it probably has nothing to do with a storm in Peoria and I’m in Miami...
Because they lie.... if any delay is weather related they aren’t responsible FIR ANYTHING....
Because people don't realize that airplanes don't magically appear at their airport. Storm in the Midwest and plane coming from Chicago but skies are clear in New York? How could there possibly be a weather delay?!?!
Sometimes it’s anger because you could be missing a connection, complicating your day/evening, etc. I’ve had this happen and I’m not mad at any person or the airline, but I’m certainly frustrated by the situation at hand. 7 hour travel time could easily turn into 24 hours, which means possible missed meetings, birthdays, weddings, and so on. Wouldn’t you be upset if you missed a major work or personal event, even if it was out of your control?
