Can you turn down your senior promotion so you get a bigger raise next year since your base salary would be higher? There's supposedly a promotion raise % plus our regular yearly raise %.

Considering an offer to move to a (what I believe) late-stage start-up… 200+ million in funding through series A, B, C+ and have heard news of IPO next. I would be in a mid-senior role. Not sure how to negotiate on compensation package with consideration to equity as I’ve been in consulting since starting my career. Anyone have advice/suggestions?

I’m considering a less sales-oriented role that doesn’t pay commission. The new role will have a higher base but lower overall earning potential.

What % haircut should be expected? As an example, if I make 100k (base + commission) today, would it be realistic to ask for 90k (10% cut) + equity to make up the difference?
