My father took a home loan, and the same home is kept as mortgage.
I'm paying arround 22k emi for the same but unable to exempt tax as the loan is on my father's name.

I googled a lot how to transfer it but neither gift deed nor sale deed would work as the property is on mortgage that's under bank's ownership (until loan is fulfilled).
Tax is also getting deducted, I'm paying hefty emis.
What can I do?

I got married in 2021. Before my wedding I lived in State#1 and after the wedding I moved to State#2. My spouse lived in State#2 the entire year.
Can I file as Married Jointly in such a way that State#1 only calculates my income for the portion of the year I lived there?
Or do I need to file Married Seperately?

When I file my ITR, it is auto-populating the 'income from other sources' by 40k and increasing my tax liability by 10k however form 26as shows no tax liability.

Should I edit the header to Rs. Xx which is below 10k hence tax exempted and stick to info as per 26AS?

My company is paying for one credit card. I'm leaning towards Amex Platinum given the large 100k sign up bonus at the moment (which I'll be able to hit). People lean towards CSR because of the 3x on dining but I don't eat out that much (and additional perks, but I prefer the Amex for that).

Hello I just started my first job (I’m 22) and I need to set up a 401k for matching with my company. I’m really confused how this works because I want to try to hit the IRS maximum of $19,500 for Roth contributions this year. Maybe it’s too late in the year now, but it’s asking me to pick my desired contribution % per pay period, but I’m not sure how much to do because it says it’ll kick in 1-2 pay cycles and I don’t even know when the next pay check comes yet. I see two crowds these days. One thinks housing market will crash. The other thinks housing market will soar.

The contrarian in me makes me think this is a decent indication that housing market will stagnate (or increase minimally) for a few years.

As a general rules, I feel like the majority cannot foresee a crash/surge coming. The prevalence of such expectations would hamper the pre-conditions necessary for such a dramatic change.

After being mugged and having my things (including my keys) stolen, I was locked out of my townhome after business hours on a weekend. I was told on the phone when dialing my complex’s after hours number (which is managed by a 3rd party company) that my complex’s policy would let me in for a cost of $100 (as it was after hours). After I was let in, property manager informed me the charge was $200. Is there anything I can do here? This is in Minnesota. Help appreciated!!

I’m pretty responsive for things they need help with like laundry machine got broken or pantry doors fell off. So I had sent people to fix those maintenance and repair issues.
