Still better than working in the States!
I’m an L6 SDM at Amazon but a Meta recruiter sent me an M2 sdm job description. I have all the XP I need from previous job experience but does Meta keep your same level as Amazon? Meaning if I am an L6 at Amazon am I automatically interviewing at M1 or can I jump to an M2?Amazon Facebook (Meta)

You should consider bringing someone on board to help you run your own practice so your share the responsibility as well as still pursue your partner track - e.g. me 🙂.. I have time and looking to expand my entrepreneurial exposure
Thanks EY1. I am financial crime field and my clients (mostly banks) wants to see me more often now. And the more we grow, the more I need to be in Africa (since virtual meeting are not really popular back home specially with low internet speed). For a partner back home, I having difficulties finding someone that I can trust and of integrity. Seems to me like all the young of your age are corrupted and will sell their integrity for couple of $$$. But I am still searching for that special one
What country? I’m also from Africa!!
Your country is a joke!!! Good people, terrible terrible terrible rulers. Possibly the worst on earth

Hello,
I am from Africa. I have a CPA and a CFE. I actually worked in money laundering in Burkina and Senegal but that was a long time ago.
I am so proud of you for pulling this. It is my dream to do the same but for me, I Would like to return and live there one day. I don’t want to live in my country because I would not be able to deal with the ‘’ Social ‘’ aspect of my dear country but I am definitely returning when my son turns 18...
Good luck on your decision making...

My dad actually told me the same yesterday. He mentioned the country is moving along with or without me, that it was up to me to come get what’s mine... 😅
Hearing this from you makes it so real.
Thank you 😊

The question is which do you want more in the long term? I would imagine a partner at Deloitte cannot have a side business in another country so I would think the question should be: do you want to put more energy into your own business or do you want to be a DT partner? I would not factor boss likability into it. What do you want long term? Definitely hiring people to bring on sounds like a good route in the meantime at least for the next 2 years
@Director 1, thanks for your nice input. On the long terme I was to put more energy into my own business. I am convinced that even if I get promoter to partner, I will still leave to focus on my own business. This should have been so easy as decision but I keep pushing it and procrastinating.
I'm from Africa also and looking for opportunities in Africa 🙂.
