I don't know about Deloitte Consulting, but in Deloitte Advisory, every person has a one-on-one call with a partner about their new compensation. This is an opportunity to ask where you really stand in the rankings (high 2's or low 2's?). Although we don't have number rankings this year, you should still ask where you stand amongst peers at your level since the scatter pot only shows your standing amongst your service line and level. You can also ask advice on how to achieve the next level (e.g., promotion, GDP, anything you're interested in).
Umm be factual about your contributions and achievements. I also hope you did some research on what your salary is vs. where you want/should be.
D4, it's possible that OP has a counselor that gives a shit and wants to deliver the message personally (and say sorry it's not more, you deserve it, we'll work harder for next year, yada yada yada). Or the counselor knows the numbers are shit and is doing damage control lol. To OP, as others have said, it's not really a discussion...your counselor will jump on the phone and read to you from an email that he/she received. You'll say Thanks for the info, hang up, and then lean back in your chair and shake your head and possibly laugh (out of disgust) or crack a smile because it was good news.
D5...I am counselor (in consulting) and can assure you 110% we do not know the pay of our counselees. Unless OP's counselor is a PPD, then they might know. Maybe.

There are still numbers at year end....and in DC you can schedule a call with your service line lead after statements are released. So either OP is totally not understanding the call invite everyone got or is not in DC as someone else said. And in one on one negotiations they basically tell you to work harder next time and even if you're a high ranking they say "if in the p years were talking about a few thousand dollars then I'll buy you drink and we'll have a good laugh"
I know you can negotiate your compensation but you NEED to have another offer that you're willing to take. Willing to walk away from Deloitte if they tell you "sorry, we can't do anything about that". Second, you need to have extremely strong ratings... You can't walk in there with 2s and 3s.
