As a comfortable commuter car, can’t do much better than that. It’s a boring car, but again if this is just your daily commuter you really don’t need anything fun.

Another car to consider would be the Acura tlx. That’s gonna be more fun than the ES350.

Also, a CPO 3 series with the b58 would be an amazing daily. Will be a bit costlier to maintain than the es 350.

If you care about performance, yeah spring for the type s. Has nearly a 1 second faster 0-60 time. I rented one on Turo while on vacation a while back and it was surprisingly fun.

If you don’t care about performance on this car and this is solely meant to be a boring commuter, then the type a would be enough and would be significantly cheaper / have a better mpg.

Nothing is going to touch an ES at what it does

It’s a perfect cruiser and reliable. Only other option would be an RX just in case you need more trunk space. And you can get one with AWD if it’s a need.

Get real. There are many reasons to get a safe, comfortable commuter car that keeps running for years without major maintenance needs.

Do you pay your credit cards in full every month?

I ask because I’ve let my credit spending get a bit lax since moving and adopting a puppy recently, so I haven’t been paying them off in full every month like I used to (though still well above the minimum payment, and keeping utilization at 30% or under). It got me thinking about how many people adhere to this advice.

Alright auto fishes, I’m in the market for a entry level luxury car. Open to used or a lease. I don’t plan to use it as a daily driver, live in an HCOL. Only restriction is that I’d like to keep my monthly costs at no more than $600-$700/month (including insurance, financing / fees, etc; have a parking spot already). Doesn’t have to be a European badge. Thoughts?
