UBS If I had to move within the company to a different location , how does it work? For example if I move from low cost of living area to high cost of living area does the company re-evaluate the base salary within USA? Or do they come back and mention its your family requirement since your partner is located and you are moving ?Suggestions or experiences any !

Tip: declare your permanent address in a state with no income tax and sign up with a mail forwarding service that does scanning, etc
I wouldn’t want to, personally. But if that sounds really attractive to you, go for it.
If I did have that dream, I’d still worry about things like have solid internet connectivity everywhere I went. I don’t think I’d want to be relying on public WiFi or cellular coverage everywhere when I’m working for clients. Depending on where you parked, you might also have issues with noise during calls. And of course an RV is a depreciating asset, so you’d have to plan for that expense if you did this for a long period of time. Taxes might be interesting too, I don’t really know how that works without a permanent address.
As in, just drive your RV to the client you work at and live in the surrounding area? That sounds terrible.
A cheap studio apartment in a low COL area near an airport would be my choice for that situation, if you are doing travel consulting.
I imagine you could have a PO address for general mail. Something to consider
I worked with a couple that did that and were happy
There is a reason American dream was build and RV isn’t that
That's my plan as well.
This is the idea that has driven the dramatic increased interest in tiny homes - it would be an interesting way to explore the country especially while you are young and Un-encumbered -
I’ve thought about being a “digital nomad” and traveling the world instead. One guy I know works 100% remote from a small town so I wonder if I could pull it off pretending I’m still in the US.
If all your work is virtual I don’t know why you couldn’t - I have worked from lots of locations with nobody being the wiser - all I need is my laptop and a reliable internet connection
