Stay until you find a better offer
Not worth imo - I only go through the hassle of jumping for at least 15-20% total comp increase
Unless there’s some other big factor. Like your current hours are awful and the new job would be great WLB..I would stay
Negotiate for a better offer. Hopefully you didn't tell them your current salary, not that it really matters. But you can say that you would be taking a pay decrease and then ask for like 5-10k more.
yeah, only 3k difference? no way
-3k difference at that 🤣
I would never make a decision on 3k pay. The amount is so small. And happiness is so important.
To me those jobs pay the same.
3k for 2-3 years has 0 impact to my long term financial plans.
I will live sane lifestyle, I will be relatively sane on savings plan- what will differ is happiness.
You need a long hard think of this is how you are making decisions.
Honestly, actually, if you’re considering this, you probably should take the 3k more, because your career trajectory is not great

Pass. No sense going through the hassle of starting all over for essentially lateral comp unless you absolutely hate your job and need to leave asap.
No, not worth the hassle if your current job treats you ok.
What SA1 and KPMG2 said.
Or it's a big brand that will open more opportunities in a year or so. In that case, switch.

That’s roughly an additional $175/month after taxes. Would that really make a difference in your life?
Stay. The learning curve is worth so much more than 3k
Stay
Nah
Pro
Oh hell nah
Won’t you stayyyyyyyyy, just a little bit longer…
You want to take a pay cut just for the bonus?!
Thanks for all the responses!
So I’ll add in one of the big factors..
-Current job at 123k is in the office everyday
-New job offer at 120k/10k bonus is remote
Even though it is a 3k decrease, you would still br gaining a lot of time back and saving a lot with gas. But is the political capital worth losing for a horizontal change? Also-how important is fully remote? That's up to you and can be up to priceless. Normally I wouldn't want to switch unless at least 30%. But 5 days in an office sounds unbearable.
Staaay! It negligible!
Rising Star
Lmao what. With gas at ~$5 gal across the country you’re damn delusional to say it’s negligible to go from an in-office role to a wfh role
Pass for sure. Sounds like the role isn’t technical so you probably don’t have a lot of leverage

If you’re at 123 I wouldn’t leave unless it was 137 or more. That’s just me. An honestly I’d still like at least a 5k sign on coupled with that.
