Current rising 3rd year at Schulte (funds). Should I start looking to lateral now or continue to MWE? I generally like my current teams but I am incredibly worried since several mids/seniors are thinking of lateraling and I don’t want to have last dibs at any open opportunities given the current terrible lateral market. Morale is also not so great obviously. Am a T14 grad if it matters.

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. After you are stealth laid off, other than job search, what do you do? I assume they won’t give you work and even if they do, you can politely decline?
