Currently 601 at JPM in SBLC dept and was offered an opportunity at Goldman today for Sr Associate (I assume 602 equivalent). Considering budget cuts, would it be a good idea to ask my management team to match the GS offer? I’m on the fence about leaving but I’m also hesitant to present this to management. Junior associate here, should I ask for more money if my firm is about 10-15 percent less hours but about 30 percent less pay? The gap will never be closed to the top pay scale at my firm but when I decided to come to this firm the pay difference was about 15 percent and not 30. Working on a deal where buyer's side keeps on insisting on a POA to effectuate all actions of Seller under the agreement, including executing documents. I keep striking this and commenting that this is not standard. Has anyone dealt with this? I am okay with a limited POA based on the industry of the Seller, but not this general POA.
