Do you have a degree in teaching? You might need to go back to school.
You also might try to see if you can shift to another field of law and see if it’s a better fit for you. Being a prosecutor seems awful to me. My dad was a prosecutor and he always seemed stressed out and he wasn’t paid very well for how much work it was.
Given what I’m sure are your excellent litigation skills, I suggest checking out clinical law programs in your city. They may need instructors or adjunct professors and that could be a foot in the door.
Each law school should have a job board you can search for openings.
Fellowships, first-year lawyering classes, and jobs at institutes located at law schools may be other pathways into teaching.
Stick to litigation. No rewards in teaching. Ho for a post higher up but within litigation
Have you considered teaching either at an ABA approved paralegal program or a law school? I attended an ABA approved paralegal program at Nova University. We had interesting and diverse professors who were committed to academia. Some of them were retired, judges, and some were practicing or retired attorneys. With a doctorate degree, you could probably also teach regular college classes.
If you want to teach at a law school, you should work on getting published in the area of law that you want to teach (if you haven’t already).
