Currently interviewing to join A&M TAG from KPMG FDD at the manager level. With 5 YOE, early promo at KPMG. On one hand higher pay and moving away from “audit” branding are a big plus. On the other hand, an established network, plus potential to go partner route are a con (in my eyes, but not huge deal). Have some doubts about staying billable to maximize comp, but confident I do good work and can be a desirable team member. Guaranteed TC first year is on the table. Any advice to help me decide?

Has anyone ever asked to renegotiate their salary after starting a job? I’m 2 months into my new job and I have far more responsibilities than what I was told. It’s a lot different than what was relayed in the posting and during the interviews. Additionally, they hired my counter part in as a senior manager which is at least $30k more than what I make. My peer has more experience so I expect that but I feel that I should be paid more, however I don’t want to leave a bad impression… any advice?

I have a potential offer to join a mid firm in a city where they’ve only been around for a few years, so there aren’t a lot of employees, maybe 25. I really like city and the people, but curious, would joining at this stage lead to faster promotion to MD/Partner? Or even manager or senior manager? Hey fishes, can someone tell me how the 80c bracket works, i know i can get exempt upto 1.5lakh under it, what i wanna know is does PF comes under it or not? For example if my yearly pf deduction is 20k and VPF is 10k so now will i still be able to show investment of 1.5lakh under 80c apart from PF and VPF or i'll be able to get exemption on only 1.2 lakh( 1.5lakh-30k= 1.2lakh)?
