I have no idea what you are saying? Is there a second offer?
I offers think you should but offers shouldn’t if you want to relocation with salary
Put it in b4 terms, associate, senior associate, manager, etc.
Lower than current salary and if you still go
Depends on what your career goals are. If your end goal is to continue working in fund accounting, then you probably wouldn't benefit from audit experience. But if you're trying to pivot out of fund accounting, this seems like a good restart.
I want to remain in this field, but I’m wondering if having experience with a Big 4 PE team would be worth it for my future career. The role involves transferring for the same type of work
If you plan on staying in fund accounting, no point on going big 4. Use ship jumping to increase your salary which you'll need to do every now and then.
Rising Star
Why would you take a lower salary to relocate if you don't have to?
Sorry I was in a hurry before the meeting start :
I am currently working in private equity (PE) and recently received an offer from one of the Big 4 firms. However, their offer is lower than my current salary, and it requires relocation. Would it be better to pursue an opportunity with another PE company within the same state instead?
You’re just gonna work more and get paid less. I’m assuming it’s in audit which pays the lowest.
If you want to pivot out of your industry then getting into a B4 firm would be pretty helpful.
It’s just gonna suck to go from industry to PA
Why is the Big 4 paying so much less than I expected?
What is your opinion on adding a career in the Big 4 and then transitioning back to private equity? I love working in PE industry but I think my resume is lack of big 4 accounting path.
Big 4 is not the be all end all
