D is straight up toxic right now. We are already going through layoffs, making life and projects extremely stressful. But, to add to that, we are being expected to work ridiculous amounts of hours to cover people we have lost and cover more firm initiatives. No balance and no guarantee of safety. I'm seeing fully staffed people (who did great work for years) getting let go now. Morale at an all time low.

I recently had an initial interview for a technical recruiter position. The guy on the phone stated that this is not a 9-5 job and long hours are expected. I proceed to ask how much PTO is offered and he said that is not recommend within the first 6 months of working and the harder you work the more PTO you receive.
