Which designation should be suitable for 12 years experienced. HR has reached out for Senior Consultant role. I believe with 12 years atleast it should be Manager.

I’ve been at my current job a month shy of a full year, yet I have already seen that there are not a whole lot of promotions or raises to stretch for, but part of that comes from being hired in a little green for the role. I’m currently negotiating salaries on the west coast and am nearly certain we will reach an agreement soon. How do I give my two weeks without burning bridges?

Considering an offer to move to a (what I believe) late-stage start-up… 200+ million in funding through series A, B, C+ and have heard news of IPO next. I would be in a mid-senior role. I received an offer for a role that is a lot more money than I thought but I still want to negotiate and see how much more money I can get. What can I say if the salary is already above average for the role in the market and city I live in?

Switching from commission to salary!

I’m considering a less sales-oriented role that doesn’t pay commission. The new role will have a higher base but lower overall earning potential.

What % haircut should be expected? As an example, if I make 100k (base + commission) today, would it be realistic to ask for 90k (10% cut) + equity to make up the difference?

I’m super happy and excited to exit out of consulting job.
I met all the check marks every appraisal cycle but still I was given the same reason every year. Need book of business or sales experience. Finally, I’m out of that cycle. I’m joining one of the FAANG!
