I'm thinking about starting with a new company. I'm a commercial workers compensation underwriter with almost 3 years of experience. I currently make around 38k but I'm hearing that this is low for the market. Thinking about going to Travlers or Hartford. Anyone have experience there? What was your salary?

Do I have to notify the ARDC of this change (IL licensed)? Do I have to immediately switch to inactive status or can I stay active in case I decide to keep practicing law just a few months later? Hi Fishes!! I have got an offer from Infosys for Gurgaon Location. Mostly everyone knows Infosys is not present in NCR location. Although, my offer letter mentions I will be working remotely and no need to come to office. Is there anyone else who is in the same situation, i.e from Gurgaon Location.

When extended family asks what you do for a living? You say “ well it’s the taxes for funds like venture capital ” oh so starting a new business “ kinda of “ I had a former manager tell me explaining public accounting is tough. I would have to agree with that former manager. maybe I should have said I prepare K1s and 1065s lol

Anyone figure out how the 1065 will be presented this year for clients with GAAP books? Seems like M-2 should be tax but the instructions say book and “match K-1”

When someone who doesn't know what FS tax is asks you what you do for living, do you say you are in tax or finance?
