Do hedge funds people have better schedule than PE people?

For those of you who have had to develop a "thick skin" how did you do it without becoming a robot? In the beginning, I just cried at work all of the time. I've gotten better but I'm generally sensitive so kind of an outlier. Could use some advice, thanks

Gay man who works in a large org that is big on diversity and inclusion efforts. I’d say about 50-60% of people (at all levels, across all age groups and races) list their gender pronouns in email signature. I list mine because I see it as a way to show support for colleagues who may not be cisgender. If anyone else works in the same type of environment, do you infer anything about colleagues who choose not to list their gender pronouns? (such as they are homo/trans phobic?)

From interview perspective, I enjoyed lucidworks interview as the interviews taken by quality people compared to other two companies. But it is a startup.

You say “ well it’s the taxes for funds like venture capital ” oh so starting a new business “ kinda of “ I had a former manager tell me explaining public accounting is tough. I would have to agree with that former manager. maybe I should have said I prepare K1s and 1065s lol

Does your firm have presence in Seattle office? I like the work and want to transfer, but EY doesn't have FSO tax out there.

How are the pipelines to making partners looking at other firms? Do you see 7 to 8 years at SM level like EY? Is 3 to 4 years an old news? This is for fed compliance btw. Are other service lines any better?
