I’m 40 and recently transitioned to UX/Product Design. I completed a bootcamp, continue to improve my skills. I network, have coffee chats, attend virtual events, iterated my portfolio and resume. Our industry needs to change the way it does recruiting. We make it impossible for people to apply directly to agencies. Relying on employee referrals gets good "culture fits" at the cost of diversity
