I have an interview for an AE position and I need help. I work on the planning side and I want to try and highlight how transferable my skills are. Thanks so much!
What do exit opportunities typically look like for a Big 4 consulting Director (recently made the grade)? Is going into industry the main play? Start-ups? MBB? Can one segway, say, into PE as an SME?
Last May I was volunteered for a stretch role that lasted 10 months, then corona hit so no real downtime after. Now getting volunteered to backfill a SM for an early promo. Like I want it, but I am not sure if I can do 1.5 years in a row of stretch roles without completely burning out :-( I only have been able to take 1 week off over the past year.
On job descriptions are the years of experienced required section usually accurate or recruiters trying to get overqualified candidates? Let’s say I want to apply for a position that requires 4 but I have 3.

Any fish with experience moving to an internal, non-consulting role with their firm and have an opinion on making the move now? Would be promotion (which I am unlikely to get in my area of the org due to freezes) but very aware of the old adage “if it’s not billable, it’s killable.” No layoffs yet and no pressure for me to move out of consulting, but this may be an option to level up and maybe have a better exit in 18 months. Thoughts?
When applying for a new role, how do your companies “level out” the difference in years of working at a competitor vs climbing up the ranks? Are all years of consulting experience seen as “equal”?
Exit ops for public finance? All my corporate friends signed their PE offers 6 months on the job and I'm struggling
Are contract positions feasible in the currently economy? Under what circumstance would you take a contract role? Recruiters keep messaging me on LinkedIn but they’re contract positions and I don’t think it gives any job security whatsoever.

After seeing a bunch of the posts on here about some of the exit opportunities people here have posted, I started applying a couple months ago. I just got an offer that's a little under 3x my current comp... And I'm totally speechless. Thank you to everyone here for motivating me to look for that next opportunity!!!
Anyone looking for a position in Data Analytics or Data Engineering? I am looking for candidates with 3-6 years of experience in those fields who would be excited to join a growing team within a TMT strategy consultancy

Why is it in every account capability meeting we have, I feel like senior leadership is defending why our role is important and why we are needed...should this worry me? Is account seen as obsolete?
At what point to you know it’s time to leave public accounting? I do good work, but my attitude is horrible due to low pay at my firm (non B4) and hours. We heard to work less than B4, now are similar

How easy is it to lateral from Deloitte human capital to MBB or a strategy firm? Seems like having a heavy HR focus may not have a lot of transferable skills. Don’t want to get stuck in HR forever.

If you get laid off. Do your damndest not to take an offer or even reach out to the low-hanging-fruit agencies. Once you get hired there, you’re there. Take it from someone who is still there.
Anyone have their CFE? Just wondering what you have done or plan to do with it and what the test was like.
