We have two open media planner positions in Durham, NC that we’re actively interviewing for. Our client needs are heavily digital and social. That said, we don’t separate media, analytics, programmatic and adOps responsibilities, our media team is responsible for it all from ideation through optimization. We have high expectations for ourselves, but also have a great support system in place that emphasizes development at all levels. If you’re excited by this type of a role, shoot me a note. I gave interview in Amazon and cleared all the rounds , then went on hold and still on hold due to hiring freeze in that departement. HR does respond and update me when reached out.
Interesting thing which happened here is iam cracking each every product based interviews now after my tough preparation for Amazon and getting higher packages than what Amazon would give. So whatever happens , happens for good. Cheers Amazon

I prefer “mid-sized firm”. :-)
And yes you have opportunities, especially as you become more senior. But it’s then they you may prefer the culture, people, opportunities of your mid-sized firm.
At the P/P level, most of us continuously have opportunities to join MBB firms, and sometimes we do. But more often we don’t, FWIW.
100% this. They reach out to me and at this point in my life and career I prefer the flexibility and comp model my current firm provides over what they’ve offered me to make a move.
I’m at an MBB. Honestly it’s all the same work, and exit opps aren’t drastically different - why are you so dead set on making the switch? When the time comes to do something different, wouldn’t you rather switch industries?
Fine then I guess you’re screwed, OP
Not to knock the Tier 2 - it’s a great firm and I see a future for myself there short term. What competencies or industries are hot topics at MBB? Should I not think about recruiting until I make manager?
