I don't have quite the same issue as you- I would never be able to go 10 hours without eating without realizing it. But I do get ravenous and lose self control.
I address this by keeping easy healthy satisfying snacks prepared in the fridge. They need to include fat and protein to satisfy me. My go-tos are baby carrots with hummus, apple/celery/pretzel sticks with peanut butter, and always keeping cut up fruit in the fridge to snack on (this also helps keep me hydrated).
Once I've eaten a satiating snack I have more energy to make a meal based on intuitive eating.
I really like this idea, thank you for sharing!
Try by starting with reminders from your phone alarm and take a couple of minutes to assess your hunger/thirst. Use this to relearn your body's cues. Remember that sometimes thirst can feel link hunger. Make sure you are staying hydrated.
I love reminders haha, thanks!
Try eating every few hours in small portions, healthy snacks and smaller meals. For this I suggest meal planning and preparing on the weekends so you have something super handy when a calendar reminder tells you it's time to snack. I actually greater a meal booklet for busy season with great healthy, filling and easy meals if interested message me an email that you'd like me to send it to!
Love it, thank you!
I’m not sure your story — but I was formerly obese (lost 150 pounds +) years ago and I still struggle with this. I think habit cues are the most important to identify and figure out what kind of rules you can set up for yourself. Again, easier said than done, my bad months are really bad
