I think Cindy Rose, WPP's new CEO and she did a live intro yesterday
If you’re referring to Cindy Rose in yesterday’s town hall - Yes, but I don’t think that comment is worth spinning. She was talking about how long she’s admired WPP as a whole, emphasizing history, so it made sense to me for her to call out legacy companies, even ones that no longer exist, because that’s how long she’s been paying attention. I honestly don’t think the comment was anything to worry or speculate about.
Pretty much.
I don’t admire VML or GroupM either.
Who said what now?
I mean it’s not controversial to respect legacy brands. WPP messing with the JWT brand was a huge mistake in my biased opinion as a former JWTer.
As a former JWTer I couldn’t agree more.
Is that controversial? Who doesn’t admire legacy brands? And despise holding company ruination?
Is it surprising to admire legendary agencies started by ad giants compared to schlock farms started in the 90s to generate junk mail?

They could easily bring back JWT. We do house of brands strategy all the time, folks. It's not that hard.
😳
Eh?
