Thinking about exiting. What is the difference in work culture between Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac?

Freddie Mac has better food... 😁 I think historically Freddie had a better culture, but I think that is changing... New Fannie HQ downtown is very nice and is part of an attempt to reboot their culture. Both are attempting to modernize and be able to compete on the open market, but today they are just government controlled companies with a duopoly on most of the mortgage market. If you want to work in FS I’d go for Cap1 or even one of the big credit unions.

I heard Freddie Mac is terrible and that Fannie Mae seems to have a better culture. Hearsay via sample size of maybe 3 people from those places.

If anyone wants to join a boutique HR & Talent Advisory consulting firm, Kincentric is hiring for an Associate Partner role! Location doesn’t really matter, but preferably in IL, NY, or ATL.
