Do folks with only 2 years of MBB experience post MBA, signify that they were forced to exit their firm as part of the 'up or out' policy at these firms? Is that a fair assessment to make?

I'm fresh out of law school (2020 grad) and I don't enjoy where I work or the practice area. I found a better opportunity. Is it too soon to leave? I've been here less than 3 months.

Any tips for building a client base from scratch? I’m a 4th year associate at a firm of 12 attorneys. I practice in business, compliance, and real estate (primarily on partners’ files) and don’t litigate. Most of the partners’ clients are wealthy friends or friends of friends (not my circle). Associates are not referred business, even cold calls, and so far “networking” events like Chamber of Commerce luncheons have been a bust. I feel like I was straight up lied to during the interview process. “lots of opportunities to hit quota”. I’m sitting here with only one demo two months after joining the company. it looks like our team has only two people doing demos, and demos are only happening once every two weeks. At this rate, I don’t think I’ll be even close to hitting OTE. Are there any other companies hiring right now? Millennials like us always assume we’re about to get fired - I actually have been laid off in a meeting with that title.
