No. It’s more that the exit opps become much more lucrative once you become an EM/PL, which usually happens around the 2 year mark.
Almost never. It’s pretty rare to get pushed out after just two years. Most of the people found other jobs. Or found they didn’t like consulting, did their time and left
Signs of up or out are: 3 years as associate with no promotion. 7 years and not making partner.

At McK, I got issues in review 1 and got CTL'd after one study
Not necessarily because their sponsorship payback is typically 2 years

Not a fair assessment, people leave consulting all the time, 2 years being very common
