Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). I can’t manage most of the time as I am too busy doing the work the seniors should be doing but they don’t know how.
I’m sorry bud, we’re just slammed and short staffed on all the jobs. There’s just not enough time in a day to manage everyone. Once you get to a manager or SM level you’ll find out how really thankless your jobs is. You’ll wish you could go back to being a senior.
It doesn’t stop there. When you get to the director & partner levels, you still super senior, manage & need to take on the additional director / partner responsibilities.
A lot of them were probably promoted before they shoulda been during the Great Recession. Now we’re stuck with a class of crap managers.
Yo for real
Yeah I feel bad for my teams because I don’t have the capacity to fully manage them as I’m busy being the senior for jobs. I fight everyday not to fully drown. My good seniors that can work independently get the least of my time and attention. There’s also so much random admin shit the firm keeps pushing down for me to do.
You will soon understand once you get to the Manager level. Come back and update us then.
A manager is one thing but a leader is on a different level entirely.
