Hey all, I’ve recently joined EY consulting from another Big 4 and have noticed there’s no discipline (at least in my team) around codes and charging time. People either charge a standard 7 hrs or some will charge time spent on internal activities to their client code.

I was told that “the last person to charge their actual hours worked was promptly booted off the project”.
Just wondering:
1) Is this a general cultural point accross all Consulting teams? Will challengin this get me in trouble?

My boss asked me to submit my career aspirations after bringing in someone in a new position over me. Is this a bill shit assignment? Has anyone else ever asked to do this?
