Do people actually spend all or almost all of their $25 meal allowance if they work late? Just curious since a couple of other staff seem to be very careful about spending too much.

If I'm working over 10 chargeable hours in a day you better believe I'm going to get halfway decent food and spend all of that $25

like

You're lucky you guys get $25. Pwc only gets $15

like

Spend the $25. EY already takes enough advantage of you as it is. If someone has a problem w it, tell them sorry but it's company policy

like

I'd spend every $ of that allowance. What are they going to say? "You are allowed $25 and you spent it all? How dare you?"

like

I had always thought "Why not?" if I'm working late anyways and as long as I don't go over 25

like

I don't deliberately try to spend as much as possible. I'll order what I want to eat, and if it's over budget I'll get something else.

It's not like we're getting paid overtime, might as well order food you actually want.

like

Here typically staff will order close to the max and save food for snacks later on. Seems to not be a problem.

Spending all of it, grocery stores are your friend here

Where do you charge it through to? I know OT meal but what code

General admin is what I use

Appetizer and all

Must be nice. I'd just spend the difference on bottled drinks.

I (and others on my teams) have definitely ordered food over the technical $15 we are alloted and never gotten in trouble for it

When it's just you running the expense through though ^

Yes, will spend the 25 to get food i enjoy. But on another engagement, the senior and sm did not want to pay for dinner, so i had to buy less food in that situation -__-

Hi everyone. Is it typical for the attorney to take credit for the work a paralegal does? An example: I gave some ideas about deposition questions and some observations I made (I was asked about giving suggestions) regarding a witness and the attorney mentioned that he’s the one that had these great questions/observations. Zero credit or thank you for the work I did.

EY recruiting is such a mess. Applied and did a pre-recorded video interview, heard nothing for like 3 weeks. Then I get a random call saying they liked me and would I be available to attend an interview the following day. I say yes but never receive an email or additional details. Call back the number and it goes to voicemail. The following week I get a rejection email. Just so frustrating EY
