I have 2 Offers currently.
1. Associate Advisor role at JPM Chase Atlanta 85k Base. No Commission or Sales. What type Of Annual Performance Bonus can I expect in this role?
2. Retirement Planner role at Fidelity in Houston (Remote) 70k Base 15k =100% Bonus w/Cap of 30k= 200% Bonus. *My Recruiter says Growth into a Senior/Director Planner role is easier @ Fidelity. Thoughts? Advice?

Hey guys. I have been applying to Amex for the past 1 year. Tried applying on the portal, through referrals and even hr consultants reached me regarding the roles since I have a relevant profile. But not once have I been shortlisted or called for an interview. What could be the problem?
PS: I have gotten calls from every other company for the same profile but not amex. Can't be a problem with the profile. Seems something dicey which I'm not aware of.American Express
Gave interview sometime back, Initially they did not agree to the ask, since I already have offer from other org which is much greater than what Tavisca is offering.....Difference is around 4lakhs in both of them, the other org is mid sized company which gave higher offer... What to do in this case... Go for JPMC?? Or other org?? Tavisca JPMorgan Chase

Although Amazon has instituted a hiring freeze and layoffs are probably on their way, I went through the loop for a security engineer position at AWS. Before I attended the final interviews, Amazon placed the hiring freeze and called me to ask if I wanted to go ahead or cancel my application. I decided do go ahead Right now I'm waiting for their response and the position I applied to changed from "under consideration" to "no longer under consideration". Thoughts?

Yes country of birth info triggers a lot of challenges for anyone born in Pakistan. Stupid but very real
She is not born in Pakistan, she is born in USA
Yeah it's a bit of a hassle. I know someone who is an OCI born in Canada with a spouse born in Pakistan but who moved to Canada as a toddler. They had an extremely difficult time even getting a visit visa for her and it took months of running around, hiring lawyers in India to get MoEA clearances, etc. A bit too much if you ask me but that's the hard line Indian govt wants to toe so just gotta deal with it.
Well my wife is a US born Pakistani and I was able to get a tourist visa for her this year. Got for single entry 3 months, daily police verification exempted,etc. Process took roughly 7-8 weeks for her to get the visa and was pleasantly surprised to have no issues. Process was straightforward too - just filled the application, added our marriage certificate, few pics, my passport, india address, etc.
How do they even know she’s of Pakistani origin If all you’re doing is applying for a visa? If she was born in the US, there’s no recollection of her ancestry on her passport or birth certificate.
My cousin said he had to enter parents information but it was just basic info that you can enter anything really without any verification requested.
My father in law was born in India. Moved to Pakistan after partition as a teenager.
Has been in the US for 20 years now. He renounced his Pakistani citizenship because people told him that makes it easier to visit India, tried god knows everything he can and still nothing. He is 87, and has early signs of Alzheimer’s and wants to basically visit his “hometown village” and his first wife died also hoping to see her hometown some day and that never happened either. So yeah! Sadly, I d say we are out of luck.
This makes me so sad 😞
