Not saying AI is the answer, but we have probably needed a new creative process for about 20 years now.
Nah.
Time to unionize
Human beings are creative, whether on official creative teams, a creative role per se, or not. It’s not that crazy to acknowledge that great ideas can come from any human touching the work, even the janitor looking over your shoulder, interested in what you’re working on.
AI is not a threat, will never be a threat in its current form. I wish people would research and dig into this a bit more for a better understanding and to alleviate their anxiety.
Not that clients will understand this at all, but AI can’t do, will never do, what humans can do and it’s all based on human context, our universal human experience. As long as AI is simply a regurgitation/mish-mash of mass amounts of content, that may APPEAR creative, we are safe.
And as recent pitfalls in AI “hallucinations” and blind embracing of AI results without human curation have shown us, AI absolutely requires human handling to “get it right” in any capacity we delegate.
You don’t protect the work. AI can only regurgitate what has happened; it can only look back. Stay ahead of it by coming up with work that is original.
