Only when we make the extroverts make an effort to be seen less. If there is viable feedback to be given to somebody, it needs to be actionable. Being seen at work is more subjective.
They should be allowed to let their work speak for itself. That's the way it is here, and I'm very thankful for it. I feel no pressure to be a social butterfly. No one cares about how visible or not I am so long as I continue to exceed my KPIs.
Not really, I don't feel like there should be a ton of pressure on introverts to change who they are just for visibility's sake. We didn't hire them to be extroverted, we hired them to be good at their job. As long as they are contributing and doing what they need to do, that's all we can really ask.

I agree. The best person on my team has no desire to lead. She just wants to do the work. On the other hand, I have another who wants to manage others, but she’s a little reserved. So I’ve been trying to give her the occasional spotlight to give her experience to lead. My supervisor doesn’t think she’s leadership material, but I always give my team opportunities to grow.
I don't think introverts should be forced to be more outspoken at work. But I am aware that being personable in the workplace can matter. If people are withdrawn or sullen or acting like lone wolves, that can be unsettling and can undermine team efforts. But unless their introversion is quite severe it shouldn't be an issue.

I’m just trying to make sure they are recognized for their work. I just want them to be more visible. If being more vocal doesn’t get them there, I’m trying to figure out what would.
I think this is a broad topic. In general, I think you can be a leader and excel without having to be loud. However the bigger the company I work for the more effort I spend on self promotion and politics.

I agree as someone who isn’t the loudest in the room and leads a team. Years ago, I was told in a performance review how people loved my work, but many didn’t know it was my work. I had to learn to advocate for myself and others.
I think introverts should do whatever they want at work :-)

Not denying their great work. My goal is to make sure they’re recognized for their efforts.
