Do you find yourself getting anxious off of the most repetitive tasks at your job? For me it’s during my one on ones with upper management. I’m always anxious they will mention something negative.

Oh hi fellow anxious person 😂 I'm 7 years into my career, have never had any major issue, and yet I panic before every one-on-one or email alert from my boss.

Lol I’m glad someone feels my anxious pain

Same.
Although it’s to your benefit if/when they do because how you respond and adjust is something that can give you a boost in talent conversations. It’s also better to have it disclosed than it only comes up when they’re evaluating you and you’ve not been given the opportunity to address it.

Very valid assumptions. I actually haven’t had anything too negative mentioned to me

I think that’s actually more normal than you think. And the further you move up, the more nerve-racking those meetings can become. You just have to remember that we have to take the good with the bad—it can’t always be all positive.

Yea true I’m just an anxious person lol

I feel like we’re all anxious these days. For me it’s not the repetitive tasks but the big ones. I got grilled over a discrepancy between consumption and billing. They were acting like it was my fault. Turned out that supply chain double ordered some expensive materials (that I did not tell them we needed doubled)

Felt much better after hearing that lol

Oh wow nothing is worse than being blamed for something you had no control over. But you’re right in this job market everyone is anxious

Here is my current cocktail: Caffeine 400mg (200 when I wake up then another 200 when I go to the gym 30 minutes later), Modafinil 150, Bupropian XL 150. I used to take adderall but it made me crazy for lack of a better word. Looking to add a stimulant for focus. Suggestions? Currently deciding between Ritalin and Vyvanse. Also, I know I’m a stim junkie I was taking adderall for 20 years so my tolerance is pretty high. Please keep it positive and helpful thanks

A lot of my HPLC and LCMS experience is with already established methods. Any tips?

Can anyone give me their honest opinion on working at Eli Lilly, the Indy site? I have a few coworkers that have worked there in the past but no one recently. I’m currently being recruited pretty seriously for a in-vivo technician position in the auto-immune team, but I already have a job lined up at Envigo as a small animal sx tech. Salaries would be comparable (Lilly would most likely be a little more with bonuses), but if the culture sucks, I’d hate to burn a bridge with Envigo.
