Our social worker is a therapeutic resource. They have no involvement in classroom management or requirements.
You are fortunate! Tis so much better than having the authority to make demands because "no one is going to tell me no" and "I can do whatever I think is best"!
Our social workers tend to operate more at the district level. They coordinate with counselors and therapists in the various schools and that group coordinates with the teachers.
That would be nice. I love that the students have a social worker on hand if there is a need, and we now have a clothes closet and pantry for families. But I don't think there are qualifications for classroom management or telling teachers what they should do.
