Wait. Your clients organize their documents? Mine take pictures with their flip phones, I’m pretty sure
We always request medical records ourselves.
Medical records directly from clients go straight into the file and maybe flipped through to confirm treatment facilities but nothing else.
Wouldn’t you want the documents delivered to you as kept by the client in the normal course of business? So you don’t have to then produce by specific request?
Otherwise, keep the set as is from the client and make a copy to organize them however it makes sense to you.
I am reviewing a lot of bank statements and it’s just not well organized. I work with individuals not with firms so it’s just a lot of pdfs with obscure names and if they attach a spreadsheet to indicate where I can find the info, it never makes sense
It sounds like it would be worth the time to set up a firm specific guide and create a document inventory template that you can provide them at the start to organize things the way you want.
Yes, hence I am asking whether anyone knows of a good resource that I could use to get started .
Or bill them for doing it yourself. This is easy collections just a hassle
