Hi Fishes,
I Will be Joining PWC AC B as SA2 on Sept 2,2022. Just want to know about Appraisal cycle. Is it Mid Year or Annual appraisal process. Also, will I be eligible for next appraisal cycle ? Tried asking the same Question to HR, but didn't get a proper response. She just mentioned as per company policy.

Don’t respond to cattle calls. What type of chance do you really think you have when a recruiter you don’t know posts a job to everyone on LinkedIn. It’s lazy on their part and demeaning to us. You’re better than that. Times are tough but responding to cattle calls is playing to desperation.
I saw a Group CD at my agency post a cattle call style post for a slew of creative rolls via LinkedIn. Lots of weak ports were posted from around the globe. I'm embarrassed to see that... at the Group level, guy should have a rolodex of trusted contacts, but instead went fishing. The end result will equal his effort.
Place is filled with smoke and mirrors.

The thing about cattle calls, is they immediately shoot the cattle in the brain with bolt guns. And then proceed to disembowel them.
I always answer, but I've lost my hope lately. I don't understand why recruiters (and some creative leaders) don't answer when creatives share their work with them.

Because 80% of the time they’re ghost jobs. Something many have figured out but now there’s proof: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/looking-struggle-headhunters-making-even-122909734.html

I stopped because no one trusts it anymore. If you’re looking for an ACD writer though, I’m available again beginning this Monday. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/looking-struggle-headhunters-making-even-122909734.html

Never. Everyone can see everything you do on LI.
No. If it’s a compelling enough gig I’ll DM or email the recruiter. Being one of hundreds of desperate replies is humiliating and I resent that this is the new normal way they do things.
There are 3 types of LI job posts:
1. Recruiter posting link to job post: this is likely ghost job needed to be made public because we already hired the person who is internal, transfer, or someone we just wanted.
2. Creative asking for portfolio. This person is an idiot and has no network and is fishing.
3. A recruiter you trust asking for candidates. This is the closest to an actual real post.
Not a post, most creatives are networked so if there is a role, we’ll just reach out to the people we know and ask them if they’re interested. Why it helps to DM someone to remind them of your portfolio but only if you know them. Do not spam us or tell a sad story how you haven’t worked for 6 months. Not going to hire you (why can’t you get a job?).
Best Way to Get Our Attention: post a project from your portfolio of the work you want to do. Doesn’t have to be award winning. But definitely a project from less than 6 months ago. And if you DM, reference that one post.
I used to just to put my portfolio out there but now I don’t even bother.
Yes but only as a private message.

I respond in DM. I don’t post in the thread
Never. Zero point.
