Do you think engineering gets more technical or more psychological over time? The longer I work with teams and systems, the more human behavior seems to matter.

I would say your communication skills are your most important attributes alongside your technical knowledge . You need to be able to listen, hear, understand, create solutions, drive expectation/schedule. Essential to build positive relations between teams, so everyone has success.

The more you work with humans, the more human behavior seems to matter. Fair enough I guess?

Depends on the field for sure

Which is yours?

I don't think *engineering* changes. However, for an individual engineer, interpersonal interactions naturally increase at the expense of technical work as the career progresses. Staying technically focused is possible, but often difficult and can have a negative career impact.

I've been thinking about my career a lot lately. I feel like I've hit a wall, and I don't know how to get past it.

I've been at this job for almost 5 years now, and ever since the day I started, there have been problems with my coworkers. It's not just one person—it's everyone in my department, and they all seem to be working against each other instead of together. Should I leave?
