You should make an effort to be punctual and show up at the time you're supposed to, or a few minutes earlier. And, same thing at the end of the day, leave at the time you're scheduled to leave. It's not necessary to show up before your manager unless you've been told specifically to do that, to field phone calls or whatever. In most cases, just make sure you follow whatever schedule you're given.
Sounds good! I will keep in mind thank you!!!

Be punctual. That’s all. If being on time gets you in the door before your manager, you’ve answered your own question.
I've taken seriously the hours I've been given, but I've never given two thoughts to whether or not I'm there before or after my manager at the end of the day. That seems outdated and a bit silly, but I guess it depends on who your manager is.
9 to 5 it is!
Times are changing, not sure how it’s viewed where you’re at though. Showing up when you are supposed to is the biggest thing. You would be shocked at how many people with strict start times just kind of show up whenever. Best of luck on the internship, you’ll probably get a feel for it when you start.
I think my company is still transitioning since leadership is all older.
As a fellow intern not too long ago, and nah, you don’t need to camp out before and after your manager every day. What helped me more was showing up prepared, asking smart questions, and following through. Show that you care, not that you can wait around the longest. It's about being effective and not getting burned out.
Thanks for the advice i appreciate it!
When I was younger and starting out, I tried this. I wouldn’t always get there before my manager, because he would there at the crack of dawn, but I always made sure to stay late so he would leave before me. Sometimes I was just faking working just so he could see me in the building to look good. I don’t stress about this as much anymore, but sometimes I’ll still pull this trick.
I think this day and age, being available is more important than physically being there early or late. As an intern I would maximize interaction time with anyone who could give you an offer at the end of the internship. That could be taking in small tasks, being at the coffee machine at the right time or volunteering to coordinate small events.
