Yes, because a polygraph DOES NOT detect if people are lying. Assuming you already know that, and that a polygraph only measures skin conductivity, heart beat, blood pressure and respiration, the polygraph will only work under the premise that your answers will affect stress levels. It's a very inaccurate way to tell if someone is lying

There is no standardized test for the polygraph operator to use, so each one decides which factors they will consider - that's why they need to do the calibration questions - and people who already knows that take steps to mess up the measurements (like thinking about something bad).
For anxiety people is actually better, cause the reactions are more noticeable - but still, they only measure stree, not actual lying

If you’re a pathological liar it’s easy to beat it. Since it reads pulse/breathing patterns, if you’re desensitized to lying then your body won’t respond to it.

DO NOT lie in the calibration questions - answer correctly but think about something that gives you stress (should be easy since we are all consultants)

Stick a thumb tack in your shoe and when answering the baseline questions, press down on it heavily enough to cause serious discomfort when answering truthfully.

I don’t need to take one, I was just watching a lot of videos and was wondering how my anxiety would play out if I ever do take one (potentially for clearance)
