Recs for LA & San Fran??
Hi All,
I joined Tech Mahindra for 5 days only and didn't find suitable timing for my project and emailed resignation mail to manager and HR. After that HR asked me to resign over portal but at the same time blocked my portal. After requesting many times they didn't unblock my portal and pretended like they want to unblock but there is some issue going on and marked my profile absconded. I have cleared fnf but they are not providing reliving letter but added pf amount also. What to do?

Not Athens
My trip to Athens was mostly just walking around and taking pics of everything alongside a bunch of tourists (similar to what you’d do in Rome).
Of course, this came from my 22 y/o mentality (at the time) who wanted to relax, drink, go dancing, and eat a lot of new foods

Counterpoint: I loved Athens. It has the usual tourist sites (which compared to Rome, do pale a tad because they’re often less intact) but the Parthenon is pretty awesome.
The people are also super nice, gyros are delicious and cheap and their domestic beers are actually solid. Beaches aren’t as nice as the ones on the islands but certainly not shabby.
A Greek friend told me to skip the islands and hit up mainland Greece. Just as beautiful and less tourists
I am Greek. This would be my recommendation for someone who wants to experience Greece’s history and visit archeological sites and beautiful monasteries.
If you are visiting for a relaxing holiday with good food, sun and parties, then the islands are a must!
If you don’t go during summer, skip the islands and visit places such as: Meteora, Metsovo, Athens/Thessaloníki, Palaios Agios Athanasios, Delphi, Olympia (I’m Greek 😊)

How long and what are you looking for? I’ve been to Athens, Santorini and Crete and enjoyed them all immensely, but they have their similarities/differences. One thing they share in common though is a very laid back atmosphere and great, cheap eats

OP One rec to consider in your itinerary is that some of the islands are pretty close to each other and can be accessed via a quick ferry ride. That might help as you pick which ones to visit
Rising Star
It's really off-season to visit in December. Would suggest going in July or August of 2022, or even this year if you can swing it.
Its really hot in summer and in the winter you will see way fewer tourists.

I would check out some of the smaller islands - they are just as good as Santorini but not so overrun
Greece is incredible in the winter but you couldn’t visit the islands because they are mostly closed. If you’re going in the winter go to Athens, Thessaloniki and Patra (all main land).
If you go during summer Mykonos (if you like to party), Santorini, Paros, Naxos or Milos (very small but beautiful island) are all wonderful. Crete is one of the largest and by far the most humid. Rhodes is also beautiful. It is the largest island of the Dodecanese area has beautiful beaches, nightlife, history and culture. The old town is particularly beautiful.
The Greek people are lovely. Welcoming and friendly. I’ve enjoyed many a break in the islands. I’ve been to Athens a number of times on business and tried to avoid the tourist stuff. Still greatly enjoyed it though.
