Do you use ChatGPT for some of your workload? Do you find that this technology is going to replace some of our jobs in the future?

I don't use it for my workload but I've used it a few times for personal projects and I can imagine so many different use cases for work. It's very powerful, but I think instead of replacing jobs it's going to be used to enhance jobs.

I agree! I believe it’s there to enhance and make your job easier.

Yeah, I do use it to assist with certain tasks. It's a time-saver for drafting emails and generating ideas. As for the future, I think it'll complement our work rather than replace it

Totally agree with your response. I’ve seen videos of people using it to make and automate YouTube channels and whatnot.

I don't use it. There are so many legal and ethical unanswered questions at this point. Plus, we're not allowed to put company IP into it.

I use it to help me find the right wording for certain emails and presentations. That's the only use I have found for it.

What should I reasonably expect from a junior?

I manage a junior developer that's been with the company for about 18 months. I end up providing them of TON of support. I need to give them extremely detailed instructions or they fail. For bugs, I need to point them to a specific function that's causing the bug. For new features, I'm basically writing their method signatures and defining their test cases.

I've tried asking them to do more on their own, but when I do, they fail spectacularly.

Hello fam! Hope you’ll are enjoying your Sunday!

I faked my resume I mean my contracting firm did and I didn’t have choice and I got the job. Now my client wants to offer me a full time position. I kind of feel like they trust me with the work I’m doing and also considering my past experiences to offer me a full time and moreover it’s only been 3 months.

I know it’s a little unusual but what do you guys think/suggest me to do in this situation?!

Additional Posts in Logistics & Supply Chain Management

Looking to get advice on two different job offers. I am only concerned about long term career prospects in choosing one or the other. Offer 1: warehouse manager for a beverage company. Offer 2: material distribution manager for an industrial equipment manufacturer. Again, only want input on future opportunities that each might provide. Thanks!

I'm glad people can order things online and get them the next day; but it makes my job harder because a lot of the people in my company don't see that we just don't have the infrastructure for that kind of operation, so they need to order it BEFORE they need it the next day
