Jonathan Club is really nice but I would assume very expensive. My aunt & uncle are members but they literally live down the street from Kim K in Hidden Hills, so I’m assuming very $$$.
The downtown club is more affordable than the beach club, and both are more affordable if you’re young.
how old are you? these clubs are all gonna be very well off older established people, mostly men who bring their families. basically like big 4 partners is the demographic of these clubs (at least jonathan club for sure not as positive on the other two but i’d assume same)
I joined JC at 30 and the young crowd is growing, encouraged by the older people.
The clubs you’ve mentioned are all private, members-only establishments, so unfortunately you won’t be permitted entry unless accompanied by a member (I say this as a member of both LBH and SVB - I’m afraid I personally have never seen a non-member simply stroll up out of the blue and gain entry).
My advice would simply be to explore different neighborhoods, try a bunch of different venues that have atmospheres that appeal to you as you walk by.
Exploring the city is half the fun; find a place you feel comfortable, go there regularly so your face becomes recognizable, treat the staff incredibly well and tip generously (bartenders hold the keys to the kingdom), the rest will fall into place!
LBH is great just joined
Tbh, you'll find better, less pretentious and networky friends with hobby / service groups. There like a billion running / biking clubs, and a ton of random places to volunteer. 10/10 would recommend
There are plenty of cool places to hangout that aren’t membership based. If you really want to join one, Soho House or one of the new ones like Heimat or the Britely are probably the easiest to get into
