Hi Fishies, I’m 32yrs old and went with IVF due to male factor. I had 5AA t/f(modified FET) on 11/07, today (11/16)I had blood work, nurse told HCG level is: 168.5, and will be checking again on 11/18, to see if HCG is raising. Is this good value? This is my first time IVF , little worried but again not keeping many hopes and become depressed I’d something goes wrong. Meanwhile trying to stay positive as well.

Starting with our very first IVF cycle this week and kinda nervous 🤞
Nurse says retrieval to happen tentatively around 18th Dec but then transfer can take place in early February too considering genetic testing takes weeks. Is this the norm? Just fearing the team is not unnecessarily delaying things owing to holiday break.

Among 7 embryos, 5 came normal. 1- 5AA(male), 1-5AA(female),1-4BB(tier2,female),1-4AA(tier1,female), 1-4AA(tier 1, male). What is the best embryo among them? This is my first IVF. And little nervous as well. What could be the reasons if the embryo is not implanted ? Is it something with to do with me? Do we need to do anything from our side, like acupuncture ?

I had IVF process to get pregnant. During pre- embryo transfer we were told that girl embryo is being transferred. Currently I am 18 week pregnant. I had anatomy scan and we found out we are having a boy. Baby looked all healthy but due to gender discrepancy, We are asked to do additional testing and genetic disorder screening. Has anyone had any side effects from Ovidrel? I did my shot on Wednesday night and Thursday and Friday I was SO tired and fatigued and it was impossible to focus. Husband and I have been TTC for almost a year. His semen analysis came back all normal with the exception of morphology at 1% (Kruger Strict criteria). Anyone have insights into morphology and it’s impacts on fertility? From what I’ve read and after talking to our fertility specialist morphology seems subjective.

I’ve never had marijuana. But the nurse gave me a Valium before my embryo transfer. I felt quite relaxed and good after taking Valium. Is it the same feeling as taking marijuana? Any sister who has had both can share? Thanks!

Doing FET with my husband; we just found out our ideal egg donor has available lots! It has been a struggle to find a compatible donor, but it looks like we made it!

Post egg retrieval, and my doctor says my thyroid levels are a bit high for what he wants to see for FET, so he has me on medicine to lower it before it’s time for FET. Has anyone else experienced this? Was it caused by all the IVF shots? Will this be a long term issue?

Why is it that when the subject of pregnancy is brought up, people love to share their traumatic stories and the m- word (pregnancy loss). "Oh you know that m-s are so common.." like did I ask you?! That word is so triggering for me and I feel like it's etched into my brain like a tumor when someone says it to me. Anyone have recommendations on how to respond to comments like these? TIA!!
