Post egg retrieval, and my doctor says my thyroid levels are a bit high for what he wants to see for FET, so he has me on medicine to lower it before it’s time for FET. Has anyone else experienced this? Was it caused by all the IVF shots? Will this be a long term issue?

My brother is being committed because of severe OCD and delusions/hallucinations of hurting himself and the people around him. He has no life and has trouble leaving the house. About 10 years ago he felt better and got a degree in Computer Science but can't/will not work and he collects social security. Just here to say I’m so thankful we have this safe space. People who aren’t diagnosed generally have misconceptions about ADHD and its symptoms, and I’m so grateful we have this bowl to seek help, learn from one another, and sometimes just vent! When you finally achieve FIRE, what are your options to cover health insurance? Any specific strategies to lower the health insurance cost?

I don’t think that most people they find in the lake went in it willingly. Water makes it too easy to cover up murders. Washes away evidence. But it’s dismissed because most people they found had also been drinking. But people just disappearing miles away from the Lake don’t just fall in it. Yes, suicide happens. But many of these cases show zero signs of anything like that. The constant MO is being out with friends having fun. The friend vanishes. Then is found in the lake weeks later.

Turned down a six figure gig - I make a mistake?

I’m 29 with a liberal arts BA undergrad. I make 67+k working a comfortable job editing due diligence reports for a global background check company. It’s kind of boring factory line-esque work but there is a good work life balance - I rarely work more than 40 hrs a week and get 5 and half weeks of PTO (this is inclusive of vacation and sick days, but I rarely take those). Health insurance seems average-a bit below average.

I started randomly dry heaving and almost vomiting in the recent weeks several times on different days. Nothing’s changed except a new job that’s been stressful. Anyone have this? I was diagnosed with ADHD in the first grade along with dyslexia and dysgraphia. I’m also positive that I should have been diagnosed with dyscalculia. Sometimes in my work, I say/do/write things that are obvious symptoms of these disabilities but my mentor attorney acts like I’m just making lazy, stupid mistakes. Feeling a bit down after a negative pregnancy test today - we’ve officially passed the six month mark of TTC. I’m 33, progesterone, prolactin, and thyroid all look normal but my cycles suck. They will regularly stretch into the 40 - 50 day range but OB seems really unconcerned.
