Does anyone accept LinkedIn connection request from strangers these days? It seems like 90% of the time, they’re peddling software, or they are a self proclaimed expert in “strategy”, “optimization”, “leveraging”, etc. The other 10% of the time, it’s a recruiter that has an “interesting opportunity that I would be a good fit for”. Sometimes I just want to ask them why they can’t seem to find candidates from the 100’s of people actively seeking work?

Mid-senior level transactional folks: how do you originate deals? The only deals I originate come from when one of my corporate clients randomly decides to sell a business. There has to be another way to land more deals, right?

How long is acceptable to ask to decide on an offer, especially when another place you really want to work at is moving a bit slower? I know this question has been asked before but I feel like 2022 has been its own beast in the legal market and would appreciate any advice. Thank you!

Does anyone think it’s a good idea to beg for a job and put your personal life out there to get sympathy, because that is what I am seeing every day on LinkedIn and then the recruiters and everybody will comment and send the jobs and they will end up with a job or interview the next day.
I’m getting close to the point of doing that because it seems like it is working.
