Is PDM ever going to be less crappy?
It has been 2+ weeks since I completed the Interview & Psychometric Assessment rounds with Macquarie Group , but yet to hear anything from them. I also followed up with HR but with no response. For the record, the interview went well. Any idea if they usually take this amount of time to get back? If I got rejected, why not communicate directly?

I’d go for an old Lexus RX. They are dead nuts reliable, small enough to maneuver but large enough to be safe, and AWD.
I agree, and great cars for teenagers. We installed a camera for backing up. Didn’t update the stereo.
Subaru. AWD is great in snow, the car is safe and reliable, and relatively inexpensive to fix.
I would think you'd want a sedan with all wheel drive, they're small and easy to drive and handle the snow well, I have also good things about the subaru Outback
Whatever car you get, just get her a dedicated set of snow tires/wheels (for use after thanksgiving to spring). Best safety feature you can invest in.
Budget? Don't spend a ton b/c she's likely to beat it up (most first cars get beaten up).
Snow is fine if she has good tires. Use it as a teaching moment so she learns how to change her tires and the importance of decent tires.

Toyota is FWD good in the snow plus the most reliable car there is. Good for 300k or more.
Honda also FWD and reliable 2-300k
I worked at Honda in my younger days.
Ford mid size Fusions are good 13+ my last 3 Ford's all above 200k and my latest 2015 Fusion is at 190k
Subaru 2014+ they fixed the head gasket issues although pre 13 models are reliable but easy to pop a head gasket is they get overheated.
With all that said a car is only as good if it's been maintained.
I would go with an all wheel drive car or if she wants a suv hook her up with an explorer or perhaps a 4 runner
