As a nurse you will get trained for laser hair removal first and eventually with additional training be able to fillers, cool sculpting, etc. This company is horrible for mental health and the reason why many don't stay. My advice if you are depleted mentally, LaserAway will only hurt you more.
LA is 90% hair removal, 10% everything else. You won’t get a lot of training or experience with filler but it’s something to put on a resume. Get in and get out. Not worth staying at all.
Your mental health will decline further at LaserAway. Highly recommend a smaller organization that actually treats you like a human rather than cattle (LA is all about Sales, and clinicians are a disposable means to an end for them)
It’s not a bad place to get a foot in the door. You won’t learn neurotoxins till probably 6 months in and filler depends on need and if you’re full time tbh. It’s way less stressful than the hospital (no one is coding or dying). The sales people can be annoying and the double and triple booking sucks but I just let the pts know it’s not my fault it’s the schedule. If you’re coming from ICU you’ll be fine.
Yes, I have interviewed with LaserAway. They'll ask if you have experience with aesthetics in addition to training. Prior to the interview I didn't know that in my state registered nurses are not allowed to administer Botox or dermal fillers unless they are under the supervision of a physician, dentist, or nurse practitioner. What are the laws in California?
How was the interview process with LaserAway? What questions do they ask?
