Does anyone have thoughts on the Captial One/Discover merger? Some people say it will make credit card services tougher for users, others think it will enhance their services and make better amenities available.

I have an expiring British Airways credit I need to use in January or February. Options are Lisbon, Paris, Rome and Athens. Anyone have thoughts on any of those in the winter/off season?
