Typically for new builds the builder wants to sell the house for at least asking to ensure the remaining lots all sells for good prices. So in my experience I’ve seen people offer slightly above (maybe $2-$5k) and then ask for additional upgrades. All dependent on what is standard vs. upgrade. If it were me I would have probably offered slightly above and asked for a credit for appliances and whatever else I think I might be able to squeeze.

But at least you’ll be able to pick out exactly what you want with blinds and appliances? If you can re-negotiate though I’d try to get those blinds added back in.

I have around 29 Lac savings + 5 Lac gold.
And my wife has 28 Lac gold(wedding gift) + 80 Lac(ancestral) Land.

Who is still in denial about a housing correction? The Fed just made another .75% increase. Powell said they won’t stop until inflation is 2%. He also said a recession would be better than the consequences of unchecked inflation. He announced he will bring rates to a “restrictive level” until “the job is done”. He said that labor demand needs to soften (ie: layoffs). He very explicitly said he wants to slash demand and that housing needs a “correction”.

I am selling house and remodeling both master bath and kids bath. Got quote for 29k for both and I buy floors and cabinets.question is I have a very big whirlpool tub and tiles around it discolored. Under contract to buy my first home - house hacking a triplex. Property has been leased by the same three tenants for the last 5+ yrs, rents haven’t been raised since they moved in. Market rents have risen 70-100% in the same timeframe. All seem like ideal tenants (retired and take great care of the units) but I’d like advice on how to approach the rent increase conversation. Rents don’t make/break my mortgage payment but I’m leaving a lot on the table if I don’t increase significantly.
